It was a much colder morning in Muskegon, which made for a really fun walk.
After the bald eagle lording over all of the smaller birds at Ruddiman Lagoon, the next most entertaining site was a gaggle that couldn’t collectively comprehend the sudden reappearance of ice – so they stood on the bank of the pond yelling at it…no, not the eagle, the ice.

These are from the same part of Muskegon Lake as a week ago. This morning’s light fog and odd clouds gave the lake a completely different look. The fourth picture really shows off the framing of the high clouds.

The walk to the Farmer’s Market started out with a gorgeous clear sky to show off the full moon. Then, right at sunrise, a cloud bank rolled in that made for a pretty dramatic picture from the boat launch at Heritage Landing in downtown Muskegon.

There was a crazy glow over Muskegon Lake before sunrise this morning.
There is no Photoshop gaming of saturations or hues on these, just a light level adjustment…which is a geeky way of saying…good morning!
