A morning paddle on the White River just north of the Montague/Whitehall bridge.
Around White Lake in Muskegon County, Michigan over the last few days.
That good looking girl in the halter is Flossie, the new photographer’s assistant. Mom adopted her from Noah’s Project earlier this summer.
We have been told that Flossie is a coon hound. Whatever her lineage, she couldn’t be any sweeter…especially mellow in the house. But once she’s outdoors and gets a scent, watch out. Just like Nigel, her volume knob also goes up to eleven.
These are from Muskegon’s Lakeshore Bike trail on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

On Monday, an early start and the extra miles were supposed to mean a sunrise over the Muskegon River from the old railroad bridge near the Causeway.
The walk couldn’t have been nicer, but the grand plan went astray when clouds moved in just as the sun was scheduled to make its entrance.
What a shame to have to try again next week.
